Day 1 is officially in the books! I was really nervous about only drinking distilled water during the next 3 weeks, but it wasn't too bad. I was definitely making it a bigger deal in my head. Growing up my parents never made my sister and I try too many things outside of the box, so I'm going to be trying as many new recipes as I can with the Ultimate Reset. Part of this will entail me getting out of my own head and opening my taste buds to new things.
I woke up excited to get started, but underestimated the amount of time and planning this Reset requires. Breakfast was good, but I learned that I'm not a fan of plain wilted spinach. I'll experiment with the spinach to find a good way to make it going forward. Here a picture of my breakfast:
Lunch was ok, nothing too fancy. I had spinach salad, with cucumbers, tomatoes, and pumpkin seeds. Lesson learned: I am a ranch girl when it comes to my salad! I wasn't a huge fan of the dressing that I made today, but it was edible. I also realized that in the future I don't need as much ranch when it comes to eating future salads post-reset. Here is a look at lunch today:
Wednesday nights I teach a Turbo Kickboxing class and I was starving after it was over. During the Reset you aren't supposed to workout because your body is already doing extra work getting rid of the extra toxins and bringing your body back to its natural state that the exercise creates extra work for the body to take on. You are allowed to walk, do yoga, and other light exercise, but nothing too strenuous. I look forward to taking my dogs for lots of walks over the next few weeks! Dinner was very good and very filling. I'll keep this as a staple in my recipe book going forward.
Tomorrow I will be traveling so it will take a little more time preparation as to when I eat and take my supplements, but I'm looking forward to new recipes on Day 2. More pictures and information coming tomorrow...stay tuned!
